It’s May—HOORAY!!

We are now half-way (or close) through  the MERRY MERRY MONTH OF MAY and our assignments here in the Mission just took a turn to . . . BUSIER— as Elder Mumford was called to be the new Zone Leader for our Collections’ Zone (and that means that Sister Mumford also got busier— into areas she DOESN’T KNOW VERY WELL— the COMPUTER!!) We are “ replacing” a pair who cannot be duplicated in the work they have accomplished. . .  And we know it!! We have grown to LOVE them so and we will sorely miss them as our wonderful Leaders and Neighbors (#407) in this Mission as they depart in 5 weeks for a new home in their beloved Texas— in the Dallas area. And we so enjoyed” things the way they were— and of course, Sister Mumford just Loves Change— NOT EVER—so this is especially hard for her. But I keep reminding myself— “ He (or She as this is the case) whom the Lord calla— He qualifies”. So I’ll lean on that in the coming days through my tears and frustrations at this part “of the Work”. We will, hopefully, still continue in our Collections Work— after the ‘dust settles’ and we get into the routine of managing a Zone. Gratefully— our Zone is not as large as some in this Mission (50+ counting FT and Church Service Missionaries and 4 young Elders (which will change as the Mission “phases out” the young Elders and they will not be replaced)😢

(This was taken last Fall when we first got here in The Mission— hoping to get an “updated pic” soon— before they depart).

NOW— For some more “catching up”*——I found some pics about some of our WONDERFUL MISSION CONFERENCES that I want to share here. Our Mission President, Jerry D Fenn, is a dynamic leader and Speaker— and along with his wife, Sister Sara Fenn (who is such a complimenting Speaker and Companion) we have received inspired teachings.

These are some of the “gems of the Gospel” that we have gleaned from some of our Mission Conferences thus far. I am sure there will be more to come.
